Custom-built Arcadia estate with Camelback Mountain views listed for $6.25M
Phoenix Business Journal – January 11, 2026

A custom home built in 2021 in the Arcadia area of Phoenix near Scottsdale is on the market for $6.25 million.
This listing, which was built for a family that quickly outgrew it, follows the $10.9 million sale of a 8,780-square-foot Arcadia home sold by Jordan Hicks, a linebacker whose NFL career included a Super Bowl ring with the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles and a stint with the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-2021.
Paying all cash to Hicks in December was Michael Grantham, senior vice president of quantitative marketing at Carvana.
These price points are well above the $2.55 million median price of homes listed in the Arcadia Proper area.
The $6.25 million, 4,659-square-foot estate at 6238 E. Calle Rosa is on a coveted street that offers unobstructed views of iconic Camelback Mountain, said Chris Karas, founder and president of The Karas Group at Compass Arizona and listing agent for the property.
Karas had heard about the project when custom homebuilder Rafterhouse was getting ready to break ground on the home on a .44-acre lot.
“We got with Mark Candelaria of Candelaria Design and customized it for the homeowners,” Karas said. “Spec houses didn’t have exactly what the client wanted.”
Now that the homeowners have outgrown this five-bedroom home, Karas is helping them find a larger home. They hope to stay in the Arcadia area, he said.
While Karas declined to identify his clients, public records show the home is currently owned by Scottsdale-based Calle Rosa LLC.

AIA architect Mark Candelaria also has developed conceptual plans for a 24-acre estate near the top of Camelback Mountain that is listed for $24 million. That home also is considered to be within the Arcadia area.
“Once a family moves to Arcadia, they very rarely leave,” Karas said. “They will move within the Arcadia neighborhoods.”
While the lots in Arcadia are smaller than those in nearby Paradise Valley, homeowners are attracted to the ability to walk or ride their bikes to nearby restaurants and coffee shops, Karas said.
“It reminds a lot of people of the Midwest,” he said. “It’s lush and green. It’s all about the lifestyle.”
Not only do homes in the Arcadia area offer backyard living with pools, sport courts, barbecues and grassy areas, they also offer front-porch living, he said.
“You’ll see kids playing out front, shooting baskets or throwing footballs and families sitting by the fire pit with neighbors,” Karas said. “Any given day in the year, you’ll see people riding their bikes and walking their dogs. Arcadia is known for that.”
On Halloween, thousands of kids walk the neighborhoods trick-or-treating, he said.
“Halloween is quite the event,” said Karas, who has lived in the Arcadia area for nearly 15 years.
Bounded by Camelback Road on the north, Indian School Road on the south, 44th Street on the west and 64th Street on the east, the Arcadia Proper area is so popular that an area west of 44th Street has grown into what is known as Arcadia Lite, and an area south of Indian School Road is called Lower Arcadia, Karas said.
Those expanded areas offer smaller lots with more affordable homes, but still allow homeowners to take advantage of the walkable amenities, Karas said.
Across all three of those Arcadia sectors, there are 92 homes listed for sale. Of those, 42 are within the original Arcadia Proper area, he said, while roughly 75 homes are under construction within the Arcadias.
“There have been multiple $20 million estates that have been built throughout Arcadia,” he said.
Dating back to the early 1900s, the Arcadia area originally served as orange groves, taking advantage of the irrigation system offered by the Arizona Canal.
“To have citrus, vegetation and lushness is something we don’t typically see in Arizona — it’s super unique to the area,” Karas said. “You’re not going to see this anywhere else throughout Arizona. That’s why people love it.”
In 2025, 251 homes sold within the Arcadias, with 95 of those within the Arcadia Proper area, according to Compass research.
That’s down from 308 in all of Arcadia in 2024, with 107 of those in Arcadia Proper. In 2023, 256 homes sold in all of Arcadia, with 93 in Arcadia Proper.
