A nearly lifelong Arizona resident, Maja is an Arizona State University graduate who began her sales career at Shaw Industries, a leader in the floor covering industry, and later as a medical device sales representative for Ethicon, the surgical division of Johnson & Johnson.
Maja, her husband John, their three children and two white labs reside in Paradise Valley, Arizona. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and golf, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
For over a decade, Maja Langbein has played a role in philanthropic efforts across Arizona. She has been involved in several of the state’s most well-known charitable endeavors.
She served as a co-chair for many galas in town, including the Arizona Children’s Association annual gala in 2007, the Foundation for Blind Children’s Annual Night for Sight in 2009, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Beach Ball in 2012 and for the Make-A-Wish Gala in 2014. In 2015 she was announced as one of the ten Trendsetters by Trends Charitable Fund. In 2019 Maja co-chaired the Centennial gala for the Phoenix Theater and is being honored as a Woman of Character in 2021 by the theater. Maja has also served on the committee for the Phoenix Heart Ball since 2017, and served as Vice Chair for 2020 and 2021.
Maja has also been involved extensively at the Christ Church School in Paradise Valley and All Saints' Episcopal Day School in Phoenix.
